Helping People Navigate Life with Jesus
Jesus offers life with him to anyone who is interested. What he offers is not a one time deal, but rather, a lifestyle of walking towards him and being about what He's up to in our lives and around us.  Together, we want to learn what it means to become loving students of Jesus who are learning to do everything he did. Jesus tells us that "anyone who has faith in Him will do what he has been doing and more." That should keep us busy for a while. Our goal is not to become more religious or moralistic, rather, it's to live lives transformed by Jesus through the Holy Spirit, starting from the inside out.

Serving our Community and the World
We believe that God has created us for community, and that as we gather together as a group of people following Jesus, we are to be a Church community marked by our willingness to serve both inside and outside of our walls. After all, Jesus "came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment of all is, he replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and will all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this, you shall love your neighbor as yourself."  This is

the "love your neighbor as yourself" bit.

Explore Spirituality and Life with Jesus
We create different laid-back environments for people to come hang out and discuss spirituality in its loosest form without structure or any shoving anything down anyone's throat. Promise. One of those venues is  called our "Wine & Cheese Night!" We choose a topic for each night like Karma, Absolute Truth, Faith, Justice,  etc. to discuss in an open and safe manner over wine and cheese. Goodies will be supplied, all you need is yourself.

Loving and Serving the Poor
Jesus was very much about being with and loving the poor.  He said that "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." So we, as a Church community, want to be about loving and bringing God's peace to "the least of these." At our current size we often team up with other organizations in the city to accomplish this. Other times, we just go hang out with some homeless friends downtown and share life... and sometimes cookies. How is it that people will know we're disciples of Jesus? Is it by trying really hard to be good, or not killing someone? Nah, Jesus said that, " By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. " And that's exactly what we want to do.
